When people think of getting healthy, they often imagine huge lifestyle overhauls. But for us, it’s the small, almost unnoticeable changes that add up to create a sustainable and everlasting difference. Before we get into the 10 tiny habits for better health, it’s important to talk about the sustainability and everlasting factors. We’ve been on so many diets, we’ve done huge 6 week exercise challenges, and we’ve tried the all-or-nothing mindset. And while those things might work short-term, they rarely stick. What does work? Creating tiny, doable habits that feel good, fit into your real life and build momentum over time.
10 Tiny Habits That Made Us Healthier
Take a read of these 10 habits and choose a starting point. You don’t need to do them all at once, … just one is all it takes. In fact, the magic lies in starting small and letting the momentum build. One tiny shift today can lead to a ripple effect of positive change tomorrow. So, which habit stands out to you most right now?
Starting the day with water
Before coffee, before anything, drink a big glass of water. Game changer for energy and digestion.
Doing 10 minutes of movement daily
You can do more, but make 10 minutes your non-negotiable. Whether it’s Yoga, a walk, Pilates or dancing around the kitchen. Consistency over intensity and length of workout.

Breathing deeply, often
Check in with your breath throughout the day. A few deep breaths will calm the nervous system in the best way.
Going to bed earlier (just 15 minutes even)
That extra bit of sleep? Magic for mood, skin and patience.
Saying something kind to yourself every day
Out loud, in the mirror, or in your head. This tiny habit builds resilience, self-respect and love. It also inspires the next healthy decision.
Swapping scroll time for stillness
A few minutes of meditation, silence or journaling over constant noise. If you don’t want to meditate or jorunal, then pick up a good book and read.
Adding extra greens to one meal a day
No pressure to eat a strict healthy diet (that most likely brings more stress). Just add extra greens to your diet. Something like rocket or spinach is a super-easy addition! If you’re not eating any veggies to begin with… you may need to add a few extra veggies!
Notice the sun
A sit in the sunshine or even just pausing at the window. Nature is amazing for shifting perspective and vitamin D is essential for better health.
Doing things slowly on purpose
Eating, walking, breathing… slower = more mindful = more joy.
Celebrating small wins
Life moves fast… with highs, lows and everything in between. If we don’t pause to celebrate the little things, they slip by unnoticed. So take a moment… a deep breath… and give yourself credit. Even reading this post and thinking about getting healthier? That’s a win worth a pat on the back.
