How to chill the hell out and actually relax (talking to you!)


It’s so easy to let stress, worry and anxiety take over your life. And yes, there are a million ways you can deal with your stress.

You probably have a whole list of go-to stress relievers, but it’s easy to forget about these when you need it most.

But hey! Being stressed is the only way we can learn to get better at dealing with stress.

For us, the best way to learn is to get real and honest with ourselves.

We acknowledge that we might suck at dealing with stress and then work out what we need to do in order to get out of the stress storm.

We ask: what action will welcome peace and calm energy back into life.

Makes sense yeh?

And if you’re like… ahhh, peace and calm energy are overrated… stress makes me work better.

We feel you, we used to think this too. And it’s true… until you hit burn out. Until you get sick. Until you see the truth and realise ahhhh peace feels good and you can be just as productive. 

PLUS the journey to whatever you are trying to achieve is WAY more enjoyable in a peaceful, calm state.

If you’ve been hanging out with us online for a while now, you know what we’re into.

You know how we deal with our stress.

And you might even know that it 100% really does work because you’re a part of our MerryBody community… or because you’ve tried a Yoga, Pilates or Meditation before.

If you haven’t tried Yoga, Pilates or Meditation you probably have other stress management tools.  Like… getting out in nature, reading, music, art, talking, therapy, dancing, walking, hiking. The list goes on!

If you don’t have stress management tools but you do feel stressed, here are some reasons why you might want to make some changes and find the best way to deal with your stress. 

A list of just some of the ways stress might be negatively impacting you. 

  • Aches and pains, especially neck and back pain
  • Acne and other skin problems, like rashes or hives
  • Headaches
  • Weakened immune system
  • Upset stomach and poor digestion
  • Forgetfulness and memory issues
  • Lack of energy and focus
  • Overeating or not eating enough
  • Being easily irritated and angered
  • Trouble sleeping
  • Low libido

So… living with daily stress creates a grumpy, forgetful, possibly gassy and rashy version of you. 

And yeh, this has been both of us! 

We read that list and we can easily recognize times in our lives when we experienced all of them and usually, they are associated with times of high stress and anxiety. 

Times where we let the stress control us. 

Where we reacted instead of taking a pause, the a breath, and remembering all the things to help us through a stressful experience.

The most important thing? Just pick ONE (so as to avoid even more overwhelm) and then actually do that one de-stressing thing.

It’s time to calm the whirlwind of your mind and the world around you by working on your mind, putting you in the best headspace to get you feeling more YOURSELF. 

It’s time to create inner peace and welcome this to your everyday life (we can’t wait to help you do this during the free Masterclass!).

So instead of letting the external things (you simply can not control) impact you in huge ways, you learn to deal with them better.

It’s time to rediscover and create your “Me” time. Even if it is just a few moments in crazy, hectic days. A time to welcome balance.
