stuff you need
  1. 2 cups unsweetened desiccated coconut
  2. 3 tbs. Bare Blends dark cacao Whey Protein Isolate (WPI)
  3. 3 tbs. Bare Blends vanilla WPI
  4. 1 tbs. cinnamon
  5. 200 grams of pitted dates (soaked in boiling water for ten minutes)
  6. 3 tbs. coconut oil
  7. extra desiccated coconut for rolling
now what
  1. In a bowl combine the desiccated coconut, cinnamon + WPI's, leave this for now.
  2. In a food processor (we use our Vitamix) whiz the dates (don't forget to drain water) + coconut oil to a smooth paste.
  3. Combine the date paste with the dry ingredients (you might need to get your hands dirty...taste test time!)
  4. Roll the mixture into tablespoon sized balls + roll in extra desiccated coconut so they look pretty.

  2. Hi girls,

Do you know how long these keep? If I were to make them a few days ahead as gifts would that be ok?

  3. Hey Ash, sure thing! We do this all the time! We have actually kept them in the fridge for up to 2 weeks and they are ok so just a couple of days will be no issues. Just store them in air tight packaging in a cool dark place (or fridge even). e & c

  4. I just made these but used Bulk Nutrients brand protein powders because it’s what I had in the cupboard 😉
However, they taste delicious and so easy to make! Thanks 🙂
