Share your top 3 tips for optimal health and wellbeing…

  • Sleep! People  – you should be getting 8 hours every night! Everyone worries about exercise and diet first but forget if your body is not properly rested changing your diet or exercising may not actually make that much of a difference.
  • Stress management. Just like sleep, if you are permanently stressed you are not going to get all the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. Make sure manage your stress and look to include stress busting activities into your life. Some people like meditation or yoga, I like going for a gentle walk and doing some pondering.
  • 70% of your plate should be vegetables with most meals. I eat vegetables with every meal. Yes, even breakfast! Have veggies with your eggs in the morning, pop some greens in to your smoothie. It is easy peasy!

Share your song, mantra or affirmation that you live by…

My Lady Homemade mantra is recipes for people who want to eat real food. So I guess real food is my mantra. Eating real food and educating people about the importance of real food are my two passions.

Share your favourite foodie moment…

My favourite food moment was getting to meet my all time number one celebrity chef Karen Martini. I was so too scared to introduce myself so my fiancée approached her for me…. unfortunately, I was overcome by the situation and proceeded to have a serious case of verbal diarrhea and launched in to this massive spiel about my favourite recipes and how she is my food hero. Very embarrassing but exciting all at the same time!

Share your signature trait, the weird and the wonderful are welcome…

Is there such a thing as compulsive food photo taking disorder? If so, I think I have it. Everyone now knows when they are eating with me that they have to wait until I have taken my perfect snap before they can start eating. It’s becoming a little bit of a problem. But I just love food!
