It’s beginning to warm up here on the Gold Coast, so smoothies have entered their way back into our mornings!
This healthy white chocolate smoothie recipe is fun and so delicious. And, yes you will notice that there is no white chocolate actually in it.
Really we should call it cashew and coconut smoothie BUT we swear it does actually taste like white chocolate. Must be the combo of cashews, coconut, vanilla and that teaspoon of sweetener. Mmmm whatever, it tastes good and makes one healthy and easy breakfast! So when you do make it, you’re winning!
The key to the perfect smoothie really is your blender.
Especially if you’re adding ice like this white chocolate smoothie recipe. If you’re in the market for a new blender we’d recommend you look for a high powered blender, there are a bunch of great varieties out there and they range from fairly cost-effective to rather expensive.
But we will say, back in the day when we both invested in our Vitamix blenders it was the best decision. They are just so versatile! We use them for everything… from smoothies to cakes, soups, pestos, making finely grated parmesan and yeh, you get the picture!
We’ve also used Mod Blenders they are a great option too! A little more cost-effective than Vitamix and do the exact same thing.
Really, there’s a stack of amazing brands out there, look for high powered and the ability to make ice smooth (haha the best test!).

White chocolate smoothie
STUFF YOU NEED
For the smoothie
- 2 cups coconut milk (carton)
- 1 cup ice
- 1/4 cup cashew nuts
- 2 tbs. shredded coconut
- 1 tbs. chia seeds
- 1 tsp. natural sweetener
- 1 tsp. 100% vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- Add all the ingredients to your blender and whiz until smooth!
