I adore the Yin Yoga. Being able to choose a class whenever I like has helped my body relax and stretch more. I'm not wasting money on expensive memberships, even if I get to the mat 1-2 times a week it's great value. The other big positive for me is the community. It's so wonderful how everyone is so supportive and, if you're lacking motivation you only need to post and someone will boost your spirits. It's a judgment free zone!

Hi! We’re Emma and Carla! 

We’re sisters and we created this Merrymaker platform over 11 years ago! The core mission was always to experience and promote more joy. We realised that a big sucker of our joy was our fixation on our looks. You might be familiar with that inner voice… 

“I’m too fat” or “too old” or “too dumb” and definitely “too much” 

We realised early on that this internal voice was not doing us any favours. In fact, it was holding us back from experiencing life! 

Yes! You need to look after your physical health but in our experience being obsessed with a diet and exercise is far from healthy! 

Self-acceptance was key for us...

this practice finally allowed us to live healthy in mind and body. This is what we teach inside the MerryBody community and App through the practices of Yoga, Pilates and Meditation. 

This shift not only helped us let go of our self-limiting beliefs but also equipped us to navigate significant life transitions with less angst. From the end of relationships to the joys of pregnancy, the challenges of weight fluctuations, to the natural and amazing process of aging. We’ve learned to accept and celebrate each phase and we will continue to do so. Our journey is a testament to the power of mindset in creating a life filled with acceptance, growth and genuine happiness.

Yoga and Pilates is for everyone, and that includes you, no matter your age or experience level. It’s wonderful to see such a diverse group inside the MerryBody Community, from young kids practising with their parents to those over 70. 

But remember, not every class suits every fitness journey. If you’re just getting back into exercise, we suggest starting gently rather than diving into more intense styles. Feel rest assured that we’re here and excited to help you find the right pace and style that works best for you.
