Vegan paleo Christmas bliss ball recipe | Super easy and delicious recipe

christmas-bliss-balls

You are going to love this vegan Christmas bliss ball recipe! We shared it to the Get Merry app as part of the Christmas recipe bundle a while back. They’re also gluten free, refined sugar free and grain free.

We love this recipe because it’s so easy to make especially compared to a Christmas cake or Christmas pudding recipe (we have these healthy recipes too, over HERE) BUT it has all the flavours of Christmas cake. Also, they are so pretty and will look lovely on your Christmas sweet treat buffet table!

These vegan Christmas bliss balls also make the best edible Christmas gifts. Make them and gift on a cute Christmas plate.

We dipped our vegan Christmas bliss balls in chocolate made from cacao butter. To be honest this is the longest most fiddly way of making healthy chocolate… but it’s the legit way (hehe). If you want a quicker chocolate dip… check out the chocolate in this recipe (it’s so easy!).

If you make any Merrymaker recipes over the festive season let us know! We’d love to see them! Share a pic with us.

Always merrymaking,

Emma + Carla

Ps. if you want more vegan healthy sweet treats, check out this low fructose salted chocolate and peanut butter slice. It is so yum!

  • 1/2 cup dried apricots
  • 3 tbs raisins
  • 1 tbs dried cranberries
  • 1 tbs. nut butter

NOW WHAT

  • In a blender or food processor add all the bliss ball ingredients and whiz until well combined. It will be a sticky mixture.
  • Use a tablespoon to measure and roll the bliss balls, it will make about 16-20. Place them in a container and into the fridge for now.
  • Now for the delish choccy!
  • In a double boiler add the cacao butter, rice malt syrup and vanilla. Whisk slowly until melted together.
  • Add the raw cacao powder and keep whisking until the choccy mix is nice and smooth.
  • Dip all the balls into the chocolate, sprinkle with extra desiccated coconut.
  • Place the balls on a plate once decorated and back into the fridge until ready to enjoy.

MERRYMAKER TIP

Feel free to skip the chocolate step! Simply roll in coconut. Way quicker and easier... still delish!
